As part of the Latitude59 event, which is devoted to startups and innovations, a panel entitled “What world we want to retire into” was held.
The moderator was Nina Mohanty, Bloom Money.
The panelists were Kristi Saare, Estonian Business Angels Network and Dama Sathianathan, Bethnal Green Ventures.
The panelists agreed that issues related to the equal rights of women and people of color are more and more present in the public space. This answers the question of what our future could be, which would be more open to diversity.
Today, the world of technology is not yet as open to diversity as we would like it to be. Unfortunately, we still live in a world in which prejudices and stereotypes will work, despite the fact that we are constantly talking about the importance of taking into account the needs of minorities.
An important issue is the inclusion of more women in the world of technology, thanks to which AI models will not discriminate against the point of view of half of the population. Unfortunately, large, but also smaller technology companies still struggle with the problems of attracting women to the IT world.
