“Mental health – an often overlooked priority for founders and their investors” – Latitude59 discussion panel in Tallinn.

Małopolska Innovation Rocket

During the second day of the Latitude59 fair in Tallinn, a discussion panel “Mental health – an often overlooked priority for founders and their investors” was held.

As part of the Economic Accelerator program, the Małopolska Innovation Rocket project is implemented, which is organized in the years 2021-2022 by the Foundation Institute for Eastern Studies.

As part of the project, 2 companies from the Lesser Poland Voivodeship (Kooderzy, Onteon Tech) participate in the Latitude59 event in Tallinn.

As part of the Latitude59 event, which is devoted to startups and innovations, a panel entitled “Mental health – an often overlooked priority for founders and their investors” was held.

The moderator was Priit Salumaa, CEO of Better Medicine.

The panelists were Raja Skogland, The Visionary Company and Buleza Koci, Well Founded.

Raja said that, like many of us, the pandemic was a time when her mental health was severely strained. She thought she was sick with covid because she couldn’t breathe, but she was actually having panic attacks. She then started taking pills that made her feel good, but at the same time were highly addictive.

Buleza, in turn, also said that during the pandemic, mental health was severely damaged, but on the other hand, she reached out to couch people for help. They helped her to believe in her own abilities and that she is a very good CEO.

Priit, in turn, concluded that often mental problems arise when we are too bad for ourselves and still achieve too much at the same time.
