During the EU-Startups Summit 2022 in Barcelona, a discussion panel “The Winning Combo of VC and Crowd Investing” was held.
As part of the Economic Accelerator program, the Małopolska Innovation Rocket project is implemented, which is organized in the years 2021-2022 by the Foundation Institute for Eastern Studies.
As part of the project, 3 companies from the Lesser Poland Voivodeship (Versatilex, Medical Simulation Technologies and Score Digital) participate in the EU Startups Summit.
As part of the EU Startup Summit event, which is devoted to startups and innovations, there was a presentation: The Winning Combo of VC and Crowd Investing.
During the presentation, Azahara Espejo from Crowdcube emphasized that nowadays most of the most famous rounds of financing were also composed of grants, which were provided by the biggest fans of given brands.
Azahara mentioned that in order to successfully collect money not only from investors in the form of VC, but also smaller, more private investors, it is very important to strongly emphasize and communicate the company’s mission. Such a company is then no longer just a company, but a movement.
