During the second day of the 7th European Congress of Local Governments in Mikołajki, a discussion panel “Sustainable development of the Carpathian region” was held.
The Carpathian region has a unique natural and cultural diversity and connects as many as seven countries. Accelerating its development, first of all, requires deepening the cooperation of these countries, strengthening the local economy and local communities, and preserving the cultural heritage. Cooperation between the countries of the region gained additional importance in the face of the war in Ukraine. What impact has the current situation had on cooperation in the region? What impact will it have on the development of the macroregion in the future?
